Questions about your private cruise

You are welcome to bring snacks and BYOB. We offer complimentary water and soft drinks (coke, diet coke, seltzer, ginger ale or you can order beer/wine/snacks at check out) You may want to bring a towel and bathing suit if you decide to swim. Sometimes the bay gets chilly we suggest bringing a sweater especially if you have booked a sunset cruise. Although the boat is covered we do suggest wearing sunscreen. We have phone charging ports and an awesome sound system.

​There is so much to do and see in Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. We can cruise past the inner harbor mansions, Fort Adams, Hammersmith Farm, Castle Hill, Clingstone, you can see four lighthouses and so much more. If you would like we are happy to tell you all about the sights you see. Because this is a private cruise we do not have to stick to a schedule or specific route, weather and condition permitting we are happy to cruise wherever you want.

During your private boat ride we cannot take the boat out of the Newport harbor so we will not be able to show you the Newport preservation society mansions along the  Cliff Walk, such as like Breakers and Marble House, BUT! We can get up close and personal with the Newport mansions in the Bay that nobody else can see, except from the water. You can see Hammersmith, Harbor Court, Bonniecrest, Beach Bound, Beacon Rock, Horses Head Estate, Clingstone house on the rock, and others.  We have all the history and stories about these properties and the people that own and owned them.

 Temma, Baywatch (both in Newport) have a bathroom, Temma also has a separate changing room and Mamie (in Mystic) Both Mystic and Newport have bathrooms near the dock for anyone who would prefer a land restroom.

Customers will receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Customers will receive a full refund with up 72 hours notice of cancellation. If a guest cancels between 72 hours and 24 hours before the trip Antique Yacht Collection will retain 50% of the trip cost. Guests canceling after 24 hours will forfeit the entire price of the cruise. Any cancellation fees will however be returned if Antique Yacht is able to fill the opening left by the cancellation. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.

Temma, Mamie and Break of day are unfortunately restricted to six people by a coast guard regulation, so even if it is a small child it still counts as a person. All our boats are appropriate for children of all ages. The high sides around the cockpit allow the child to walk around comfortably. We recommend earlier trips because the mornings are often the calmest part of the day. We have life jackets, but as long as the child stays in the cockpit they do not have to wear it (unless you would like them to) You can also bring your childs own life jackets.

We LOVE dogs! Bring your pooch (or several) there is no limit to the number or size of dogs, we can even stop and let them jump in the water.

We ask you to arrive on time or just a few minutes ahead of time. the schedule only leaves 10-15 minutes between each trip, we need the time between to tidy up so the boat is fresh for each group. If you arrive very early we may not be able to board you right away.

Each boat is a little different, but we try to make sure we have everything you need to have a nice comfortable cruise. On Temma we have complimentary soft drinks, and a light snack, bottle opener, ice, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cutting board, cheese knives and sharp knives. We have fun float toys and noodles for swimming. We have a sound system with Bluetooth and a limited beer and wine selection for purchase onboard in case you forget to BYOB.
